How To Calculate Shuttering Quantity
===========================================================
Hi guys today i am going to explain you "HOW TO BECOME CIVIL ENGINEER" so guys its very important topic for you if you are a civil engineer and supervisor so read out fully and follow us to get latest information about our topics and subscribe us on YouTube for better understand of the topics and i will provide you video link of this article in the last of the topic so lets start-
STEP 1- FIND OUT AREA OF SHUTTERING
we are considering we are going to apply the Shuttering in slab we have length of slab 75 ft and the width is 50 ft so find out the area of slab
AREA = Length x Width
AREA = 75 x 50
AREA = 3750 ft²
This is our covered area of slab where we are going to use shuttering
STEP 2- SHUTTERING TYPES
In this i am explaining you we are using wooden shuttering.
Now Quantity of shuttering?
WE calculate shuttering in running feet
STEP 3-
1.PLYWOOD :12 mm Thick (8' x 4')
= covered area x thumb rule
= 3750 Sft x 0.02
=75 Nos
plywood will we use for this covered area.
STEP 3- BEAM BOTTOM PLATES (1.5" THICK)
= covered area x thumb rule
=3750 Sft x 0.24
= 900 Rft (running feet)
STEP 3 - WOODEN BATTENS :(3"x 3")
=3750 Sft x 0.4
=1500 rft (running feet)
STEP 4 - WOODEN BELLIES :
FOR SLAB =covered area x thumb rule
FOR SLAB = 3750 Sft x 0.16
=600 no's of bellies will be use in slab
FOR BEAM = BEAM BOTTOM PLATE running feet X Thumb rule
FOR BEAM = 900 X 0.5
FOR BEAM = 450 No's bottom plates will be use
STEP 5 - MS CLAMPS :
= 3750 X 0.08
= 300 No's
STEP 6 - SHUTTERING OIL FOR SHUTTERING :
= covered area x thumb rule
= 3750 X 0.006
= 22.5 LITTERS
Thumb rules
VIA thumb rule we can calculate approximately values of shuttering without doing measurement
so these values can be bit more or less
if you wanna correct calculation have to measure all things where we are using shuttering .
